A community performing arts center for theater, music and dance, the project includes the design of flexible seating and performance spaces within an existing vaudeville and movie house dating from 1927. The Theater can be reconfigured for performances in proscenium, thrust, and arena stagings, as well as for town meetings, dances, and cabarets. Located in the Turner’s Falls Historic District, the project required selective exterior restoration coupled with complete interior renovation, and the construction of new mechanical and electrical systems.
