The New England Quilt Museum was located just northwest of Boston in Lowell, Massachusetts, one of the nation’s great old textile mill cities where many of the fabrics found in antique quilts were produced. A program of the New England Quilter’s Guild, occupying 6,600 square feet on the ground floor of a former mill building, the museum features a research library, classroom/lecture area, sales shop and two galleries devoted to changing exhibitions of quilts by local, national and foreign makers.
