…We have in our practice extensive experience with working with modern buildings, and have rehabilitated a number of buildings of notable architects, including Jose Luis Sert, Minoru Yamasaki, and in this case The Architects Collaborative. Boylston Hall however is of particular interest because it provides a bridge between the historical revivalism of most American institutional building and modern architecture. I believe that this is particularly interesting because we have a vast stock of often moribund modern buildings on our campuses in a culture in which the re-revivals of historic revival styles characterize not only institutional architecture but permeate the details of our consumer culture…
